Yvon Milien

About the Author

Yvon Milien is a Haitian American writer and educator whose work bridges philosophy, memoir, and social reflection. Through his writing, he explores the forces that shape the human soul and Haiti’s historical and contemporary destiny. His work engages themes of spiritual growth, self-realization, and the socio-political struggles of his native Haiti, offering readers deeper insight into the nation’s past, present, and ongoing challenges. Milien’s perspective is informed by an extensive multidisciplinary education across several institutions, including civil engineering at the Institut Supérieur Technique d’Haïti, mass communications at the State University of Haiti, sociology at Brigham Young University, international relations and public administration at Syracuse University, and education at the City University of New York. He currently works as a teacher and lives in the New York–New Jersey area.
